Extensionist (Agricultural Engineer):

Location: Gaza
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration: 6 months with possible extension.

Summary

The extensionist will be responsible for implementing daily field visits to survey the project
targeted farmers, he/she will be also responsible for collecting the data of each farmer and
following up the implantation of the project activities at the field to submit the required monthly
achievements reports, implementing all normal and special agricultural instructions related to the
cash crops especially the Strawberries, besides following up the cash crops products in the
marketing channels.
The extensionist will be hired, in the north area to work on the strawberries. This position will be
mainly field-based in addition to some office tasks.


Qualification
1. B.Sc. in Agriculture, general field, or plant production & protection;
2. At least three years of experience in the agricultural field;
3. Ability to undertake regular field visits and interact with different stakeholders;
4. Skills and experience in data collection
5. Good ability at using Microsoft computer applications (Word, Excel, Explorer, Outlook);
6. Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English (verbal and written)
7. Good Command in Report Writing
