PARC has finished the implementation of the project of protectecting the livelihoods of farmers in the east of the Gaza Strip

PARC has finished the implementation of the project of protecting the livelihoods of farmers in the east of the Gaza Strip ,Sha'af and Toffah regions, this comes as a response to urgent needs and enhance the livelihoods of affected farmers in the Gaza Strip ,funding from the French Foundation CCFD.
Ibtisam Salem,the director of the programs and projects in Gaza stated that the project is working to help small affected farmers to work to restore their livelihood through their work and return to their farms after rehabilitation to contribute in the production process and the preservation of natural sources of livelihood.

She noted that the project contributed in rehabilitation of 19 agricultural acres in Al Shejaia and Sha'af owned by small farmers who are affected by the recent war in Gaza and have a certificate of damage and do not own more than three donoums .

Salem also ensured that the project create job opportunities of about 350 working days for unemployed workers , provide support and assistance to farmers to plow their land , installation of irrigation systems and planting olive trees and improving their standard of living.
